We’re proud to announce we’ve been awarded a Creative Spark Grant by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Creative Spark is part of a celebration of National Arts in Education Month sponsored by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
During the month of April 2015, we will hold workshops in Eagle Academy in Washington, DC to give children the experience of creating, writing and telling stories. They will be exposed to the process of crafting a story and telling a story. Our workshops will include games and activities which will take children on a fun storytelling safari journey in different countries in Africa. Children will then get to create and write a story or narrative – whether it’s a story, postcard, letter – about their safari journey. Children will learn about Africa, safari and working on reading and writing skills.
Thank you to the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities for this opportunity.
